Sean graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, where he focused on transactional law, arbitration, and venture capital funding for startups.
Sean’s corporate practice includes corporate structuring, stock purchase and asset purchase agreements, and securities transactions. Representative transactions include a $25M leveraged buyout of a waste management facility, a $45M PIPE (private investment in public equity) transaction involving a multinational oil and gas company, and over $600M in Regulation D private placement offerings.
Sean’s real estate practice focuses on purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing, and providing legal counsel to mid-size and large commercial developers. Representative transactions include a $40M fund-of-fund for mixed use development opportunities, a $23M preferred equity transaction for distressed hospitality assets, the sale of multiple 300+-unit multifamily portfolios, the purchase of 15 senior assisted living facilities, and retail leasing for shopping centers across the country.
Sean has served as a Commissioner on the City of Dallas Landmark Commission and a board member of The Real Estate Council. He currently serves on the board of the Golden SEEDS community development corporation, and the City of Dallas Urban Design Advisory Committee. Sean lives in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, with his wife, Sarah, and two children, Dorian and Sebastian.
